Either through a donation, through time spent on helping with a fundraising event or simply by educating other people within the community about development issues, particularly education, you too can do your share to effect positive change within the global community.

All the money that is raised will go directly towards building the new school for the children as well as purchasing new educational equipment as per their needs.

Thanking you in advance for your consideration, interest and participation.

The First Abhilasha Project Chapter was started in September 2006 at Marianopolis College in Montreal, PQ. The group has grown over the years and is proud to be celebrating its fourth year as a club at Marianopolis College.

Join the dynamic students at Marianopolis and learn how you can make a difference! The club is always looking for passionate and dedicated students to join its team. Whether you only have one hour a month or 1 day a week to volunteer- there is a place for you at Abhilasha.

The club has organized several different activities and fundraisers in the past such as bake sales raising over 600$, a photo-exhibition on Children in India and the Philippines and a very successful Wake-a-thon raising over 5000$. Read about the 2007 Wake-a-thon in a Special Press Communiqué by the College: http://www.abhilashaproject.org/scholarship.pdf

“Everyday small actions can have a huge impact in the long run. I am glad that we have such conscientious and enthusiastic students who are determined to change the world one step at a time.”
