The First Abhilasha Project Chapter was started in September 2006 at Marianopolis College in Montreal, PQ. The group consists of more than 50 members. The club was present at Open House and invited new students to learn more about the initiative. They have also organized a 1$ a month system where students donate a dollar each month.

They have organized several different activities and fundraisers during the year such as a Tim Horton’s Bake Sale raising over 600$, a photo-exhibition on Children in India and the Philippines and a very successful Wake-a-thon raising over 5000$. The goal for this year is to raise 10,000$.
